Hello my wonderful readers,

How are you all doing! For today I wanted to share with you my top 5 favorite Christmas decoration d.i.y’s from Lia Griffith. Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year and there’s nothing I love more then spending hours on hours searching for fun new ways to decorate my house. So you can imagine my excitement when I found this site as I was going through my Pinterest posts. Just one look at those adorable little owls and I was hooked. I went to the site to find out how they were made and after spending a good 20 minutes browsing around I was so happy to find even more fun d.i.y’s to do.

One of the things I really loved about the site is that the projects were so diverse and a lot of them I haven’t seen anywhere else before. It was really refreshing to see since d.i.y projects can over time start to get repetitive and boring.

So without further ado… here is my top 5 list!

Foam and Crepe Paper Owl

How precious does this owl look!! It would be such a great bonus gift to give to your family and friends.

Floristic Crepe Paper Poinsettias

These flowers would make such great center pieces or you could even place them on top of gifts instead of bows. There are so many different ways you can get creative with them.

Felt Ball Christmas Pillows

I was so excited to find this Christmas pillow d.i.y on the site. Not only are they super cute but they’re also simple to make and really inexpensive as well.

Glitter Paper Candle Wreaths

Such a pretty touch to add around candles. Gives them a more festive vibe!

Paper Evergreen Holiday Wreath

Christmas decorations wouldn’t be complete without at least one wreath to tie it all together. This one here is my favorite from the site because it has that classic feel to it and I really love the attention to detail of the leaves and cranberry’s.

That is it, those are my Top 5 Favorite Christmas Decoration D.I.Y’s. You should definitely check out the site. There are heaps of other decoration ideas for you to choose from and they’re not all limited to the Christmas theme.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post. I really appreciate it and I really hope you got some inspiration and ideas from it! Have a wonderful week everyone, I’ll talk to you all on Monday!

Add Luxurious, Stylish Pieces Into Your Wardrobe Without The Price Tag

bag, clothes, d.i.y, dress, fashion d.i.ys, luxurious clothing without the price tag, make it yourself, outfit of the day, pants, purse, shoes, update wardrobe

Hello my beautiful readers,

How are you all this lovely day? For today’s post I wanted to share with you some of my favorite d.i.y fashion projects. One of my favorite things to do is to recreate beautiful pieces to add to my wardrobe. Even though this can take up a lot of time the proud feeling you get in the end makes it completely worth it. For the ones I’ve chosen you don’t have to be super skilled to do them they are all very beginner friendly, the only tutorials that might be a bit hard at first are the bags. With them you just have to begin the more you work on them the easier they will become to make.

Let’s get creating…

#1 Petal Sandals

cashmere meets khakisI was so excited when I found this tutorial on how to make your own Petal Sandals on Inscrutables. I have been wanting a pair of shoes like this ever since I saw Carrie wearing them in I Heart NY. The only adjustment I would make is changing the color of the shoes to pink or blue instead of black other then that they are perfect.

#2 Stella McCartney Falabella Bag

cashmere meets khakisWhen it comes to buying purses and bags I always look for ones that have a timeless look to them. I usually always ask the question “Will this bag look good 20 years from now” before I buy them. When I saw Mimi feature this Stella McCartney bag in one of her look books I feel in love with it straight away, it was the perfect bag in every way except in the price. The price was just way way way out of my price range so I was so happy when I found Evelina’s tutorial on how to make a d.i.y version on Youtube. Her tutorial is so easy to follow and the end result is just WOW.

#3 Stud Pocket Pants

cashmere meets khakisHow bad ass do these pants look! The ripped pocket with the studs makes such a great combo. For these I only found this picture so I’m not sure if a tutorial for them exists. From what I can see they are not to hard to make. You just take some jeans, cut them near where the pocket is sewn until you reach the end, ruff up the edges a bit then stick on studs in the inside of the pocket. When you finish you’ll have a great new addition for your wardrobe.

*You can buy the studs in any craft store.

#4 Bucket Bag

cashmere meets khakisOn days when I have to be walking around all day the last thing I want to be doing is lugging around a giant purse with me. But unfortunately if I wanted to fit all the things I needed I had to. After a while this didn’t do wonders for my shoulder. I was browsing through blogs when I found this bucket bag tutorial on the site Pretty Prudent. I love how it’s small on the outside but roomier on the inside. It’s just the bag I needed for when I’m on my feet all day.

#5 Paint Splattered Dress

This past month I have really started to love the whole clothes splattered with paint look. This stunning paint splattered dress I found on the blog daretodoityourself. It looks so high end and expensive but in reality only cost a few dollars to make. #Reason251 why I love d.i.y’s.

Those are all the d.i.y projects I have for you today. I hope you liked this post. I’d love to hear what are some of your favorite d.i.y projects, make sure to let me know in the comments below and give this post a thumbs up.

I’ll talk to you all in my next post bye -Mirjana
